Carolina Heritage Vineyards Winery & Brewery is a veteran and family-owned business. As the FIRST, and only, certified organic vineyard in North Carolina, we are nestled among the rolling hills of the Yadkin Valley. The vineyard was planted in 2015, by founding owners Clyde and Patricia Coldwell. It produces grape varietals of Chambourcin, Norton, Traminette, Frontenac and muscadines including Noble, Magnolia, and Carlos, plus organically grown blueberries, and elderberries.  
 
Owners Patrick and Wendy McNabb took the helm of Carolina Heritage in 2021, moving to NC from Florida.  They are truly leading the way in eco-conscious winemaking and beer brewing.    
Wendy was a high school environmental science teacher and brings her science background, plus an enthusiasm for sustainability to the tasting room.  Since the local county no longer recycles glass, they decided to use new sustainable packaging options including eye-catching paper wine bottles and cans.  The unique bottles are made of 94% recycled material, using 82% less water to produce than a glass wine bottle, plus has 84% lower carbon footprint.  When not socializing with guests, Wendy is feeding people, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, or chasing after an active 3-year-old boy. Patrick is an Army vet, IT guy, an avid fan of Georgia football and making alcohol! He was originally a home brewer and looks forward to creating new crazy concoctions with the new brewery license.  
 
When visiting Carolina Heritage, Pat and Wendy hope you feel right at home! Plus, you will probably be greeted by bunch of chickens and a big, black, furry dog (Sully).
